25 January 2007 - 12:07Review: Sony GPS-CS1 (with the inevitable mac-bias).

In advance of a post detailing my current photography workflow at The Apple Blog, here’s the first of a few reviews on products and software involved. The Sony GPS-CS1 is a fairly recently released gadget from Sony that logs your current location via GPS to a text file in it’s internal memory, for fun and games when you get back to your PC. Although currently it only works natively on Core 2 Duo MacBooks, (of which I’m a fortunate owner), it should work natively on all Macs soon. I personally love it and would thoroughly recommend it for photography or GPS geeks.

16 January 2007 - 17:48What next?

I have quite a few ideas for posts / downloads here on newformula, and looking at my web stats it would seem that I get quite a few hit and run people looking for icon downloads, but also a significant number of visitors who take time reading blog posts or articles.

So, feed readers and visitors, please leave me a comment as to what you might like to see next on newformula - I have a listed a few articles currently floating around my drafts folder here, as well as some icons to be added, but none are complete.

Sitting in drafts:

  • Automating the Recording and Export of radio (or TV) shoes using EyeTV 2
  • My iPhoto, GPS (Geotagging) and Flickr workflow
  • A Sony Ericsson K800i Mac-centric review, looking at how it plays well with the Mac
  • Travelling with your gadgets - packing and minimising cables, chargers etc whilst covering all bases!
  • Mac centric review of the Sony GPS-CS1 gps location logger - great for photography

Plus more Nokia and Blackberry Icons….

So, up to you really. What do you want to see next? More Icon downloads (of the same, or a new series?) More articles from the above list, or anything else at all really? I’m all ears!

3 January 2007 - 22:30Incase’s New Range Preview.

Courtesy of the guys at incase I’d like to bring you some sneak photos of their forthcoming range of cases, which are due for release in March 2007. I personally really rate the incase gear, it’s solid, well designed and classy - a perfect match for your Apple goodies. You can check their products out at your local Apple Store, or at the online Apple Store too. Unfortunately in my opinion they aren’t sold anywhere else (at least in the UK) which rules out getting them anywhere else, but do a search for incase on the online Apple store and you should get a good idea of what they’re about. Enjoy!
