Apple made the 5G iPod- I made new icons. Not newsworthy really. Download available on the mac page, they come in Pixadex form only- just couldn’t be bothered with making two downloads available! Think of it as an incentive to go the iconfactory and try this software out.
Have been feeling ill all week with a cold. Had friday afternoon off work though, and made some improvements to the site. The flickr badge that was at the bottom of this page has been replaced by a slideshowpro flash slideshow on the right hand side, which brings my pics into a more prominent position. In addition the panoramas in the photos section have been added to, and the slideshow redone as well.
I toyed with a new design and cms through textpattern, and installed it all- but it just wasn’t working for me. The site isn’t big enough to warrant changing, and kinda like the plainish design right now. What I came up with using textpattern was too cluttered and templatey (and yes, I know this design right now is based on a template) so back to the old way, with that improved slideshow on the top right.
With regards to more downloads and that kind of thing, the desktops page now also has the same kind of slideshow on- just click on the picture and it takes you to the page on flickr where you can download it in whatever resolution is best for you. The more recent photos should be high enough res for a 30″ cinema display, so if you are after some different looking pics for your new monster monitor, then check it out. I’ll try and add more in a more, regular structured way.
None of the raft of the latest iPod nano icons really floated my boat, so I knocked up a couple in my own style for download- on the downloads page.
I recently bought myself a SanDisk Cruzer Mini 256 MB thumb drive for ferrying files around. As such I needed new icons, and a new set was born. Includes icons of the mini with different colour caps, as well as the micro, titanium, profile and micro mp3 player adapter. Download them on the mac page.
Note the Icons are back for download too- a mistake of my own took them offline overnight last night. Sorry about that.
I have had a bit of a clean up, and added some new backend stuff to the site for myself. Check out mint to see how I’ll be looking at stats, for example. The font has changed back to Lucida Grande for mac users, a:hover status has bean cleaned up and a new drop down nav which is less flashy but more functional has been introduced.
With regards to new downloads I am working at getting loads of icons online soon that I made before I had no time to play with. I also have more panoramic photos to add, and I want to spruce up the photo gallery as well.
Hopefully any dead links and emails with regards to the site will also be answered this weekend. Sorry about the enforced downtime, but I have a bigger site to take care of now!

So, had my first pretty manic and amazingly time consuming week at work. It was good, a big challenge which I hope I can live up to. I had pre-made a few icons over the last few unemployed weeks to release soon, so I have the pleasure of announcing the latest set- Nokia Series 60 Icons- which include icons of the 6020, 6020 white, 6021, 6030, 6060. Enjoy.

At work I like playing around with the GPS units. I actually really want one but can’t justify it until I have some more disposable cash. Probably will be a christmas present to myself. Anyway, I made a few icons of Garmin’s etrex series of handheld GPS. Hope you like them… included are icons of the etrex, etrex Vista, etrex Vista C, etrex Legend, etrex Legend C, and the etrex Summit.

Thanks to the popularity of my current icon releases the server I am on has served on average over 75mb a day… which means I’ll be well over my bandwidth allowance for the month… which means it will cost me money. So how is it fair that it costs me money to give you cool stuff. Well, of course I enjoy it, but it would be great if it didn’t cost me money. So, I think it’s fair that if you use my icons or workflows on a daily basis, you should donate whatever you think they are worth using the paypal link on the side. So, all this website, admin and other random experience, and of course that degree, has finally landed me a job. How odd.. I am now a working man. Here’s to the future… new flat, new job, new.. erm… commute. Bummer.
